A child's family has an impact on his education and socialization, because the family is the child's primary social group. The proper role of parents is to provide incentive support, time and access to play activities for their children's. But nowadays we live in a nuclear family and looking after a child is big task for parents, and it is difficult, when the parents are working. Week-to-week work schedule make it nearly impossible to manage or secure our child’s childhood.   

Today’s topic was asked by a friend of mine. because she wants to start a child home Daycare business but she is not aware about the Indian policies regarding this business. I found this topic interesting and here, I have come up with some interesting information which, you can use while enrolling your child in home Daycare or opening home Daycare business.  

 But ladies and gentlemen before you go for this business plan, you need to fulfill the following requirements for it. 

So, let's start the main course of this article- 

 

1. Government policies- 

(Note-Each state has several guidelines for the protection of children, but those law differ mainly from one state to another state.) 

Followings are the guidelines for home Daycare business- 

1. 1.No more than 15 children under age of 11 are allowed in the home at a time.  

2. 2.The creche should be open for 8 to 10 hours.  

3. 3.Should be adjusted according to the shift system and must be suitable for parents. 

4. 4.There should be at least 10 to 12 sq. feet of space for each child to ensure that children can learn, play and relax. 

5. 5.Creche should be on the ground floor for the safety of the children. 

6. 6.There should be no unsafe place near the creche (like open drainage). 

7. 7.There should be comfortable toilets for children. 

8. 8.There should be proper lighting and ventilation. 

9.  drinking water should be safe 

10. 9.a security guard with police verification. 

The Ministry of women and child development Government of India has provided some guidelines under Section 111 A of The Maternity Benefit Act,2017. These guidelines are used for running or setting up the creche facilities.  

when starting a home daycare business, first you need to plan your business according to these policies.           

2. Procedure for license- 

Child daycare license requirements may vary by state. Home daycare registration in rural or remote area is not compulsory in some states, but if the home daycare is in an urban area or sub urban area, registration is required for the safety of the child. 

Daycare license will be issued by State Child Welfare or Human Service Agencies. And the Municipal government may also issue business licenses to home child daycare or child daycare centers. Registering will become easier if you start a franchise of any licensed daycare center. 

You will have to go through lots of paperwork and procedures to get a child daycare business license. The following are the commonly used procedures- 

1. 1.Employer's identification – to check background 

2. 2.Child care training certification and education 

3. 3.Business place facilities- you will not be able to do business until your home or facility has been inspected. This can be a simple process, when inspector review your home for cleanliness and safety facilities. Home daycare goes through many inspections. 

4. 4.The applicant requires a licensed representative and a significant amount of documentation. 

Once the documentation for the home inspection is in order and if, the all is in order, then authorized body will issue license.
