Why virtual Gaming is not            considered illegal in India?

Hello, everyone!

Have a nice Day!

Gaming world is best part of life today!

"Gaming is like a virtual ocean of imagination world". Where we can let go of the stress of our daily lives.

Our lives are uncontrol but we can experience control over virtual game characters.

That’s the reason, everyone enjoys e-gaming a lot.

Today, virtual gaming is multicore industry in India. “And it all because of our limitless population”. Mumm, jokes apart! let's talk about something knowledgeable.

  •  The Indian Information Technology Act,2000-
  •  E-gaming can't be compared to a real game. That is why, we need the best of law to protect our personal information data.

There are so many different games that have installed in our mobiles, tabs and computers. And with that process, we have shared our valuable personal details with the gaming sites.

The gaming is exploited by the hackers. These hackers can steal our information and bank details. And it can cause personal and national damage.

To protect the gaming sites, our government has passed some rules for gaming companies under “The Indian Information Technology Act,2000”.

"This requires the company to implement reasonable security practices and such information to users longer than required, and provide an opportunity to review this information for accuracy and comprehensive document information security programs".

Personal information that is not sensitive is also subject to some protection measures.

  • Not dedicated online gaming law-

Surprising! But this is true, that we do not have any dedicated online gaming laws in India.

This has created legal status for online games like rummy and poker. (And the other hand, rummy and poker games in casinos are considered illegal gambling in India, according to The Public Gambling Act,1867) Confusing Na!

Our law considered online gaming as non-real, virtual fantasy. That’s why, our law considers e-gaming as non-real games. And there is no comparison between non-real and real games.

Online gaming is considered as a skill. And playing e-games of skill for money is legal in India.

Online rummy and poker are legal till the Indian govt. comes out with a policy decision in this regard.

The world of gaming is a huge magical networking. Where you can enjoy these characters, but you also need to be aware of hacking your data.

Now a days crime is not limited only for your world but it goes beyond your fantasy. And, we have to face new world with new cyber-crimes.

 So, stay tuned!

Tada!
